Artisan Meat Co. ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

• Contact details: name, cellphone number and email address.
• Delivery details: street address, suburb, complex or gate information and delivery notes.
• Order details: what you bought, when, and how you paid (we never see or store full card numbers; card payments are processed by our payment provider).
• Account and rewards details: your login, order history and reward points.
• Messages you send us through forms, email or WhatsApp.
• Basic technical information such as your browser and pages visited, through cookies needed to run the cart and checkout.

3. Why we use it

• To process, cut, pack and deliver your order and contact you about it.
• To run your account and the rewards programme.
• To answer enquiries, Qurbani pre-orders and catering requests.
• To keep records required by law (for example tax records).
• To send specials and news, only if you have opted in. You can opt out at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We share only what is needed with: our delivery riders (name, number, address), our payment provider (to process your payment), and our website and email hosting providers. We do not sell your information. Service providers are required to keep it confidential and secure.

5. How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax law requires (currently five years). Enquiries are kept for up to two years. You may ask us to delete your account at any time, subject to those legal requirements.

6. Security

Our website uses encryption (HTTPS), access to customer information is limited to staff who need it, and we take reasonable technical and organisational steps to prevent loss, misuse or unauthorised access.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep your cart and login working. If analytics or advertising cookies are added later, this policy will be updated and you will be asked for consent where required.

8. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, and withdraw consent to marketing. Contact us using the details below.
